As a Sr. Expert, Varun is part of the healthcare research and content marketing team at GIAN.
Varun has over 10+ years of healthcare experience at leading hospitals and health systems across India.
His in-depth understanding of healthcare from a process, regulations, patient safety and experience standpoint has uniquely positioned him to provide innovative solutions for our clients.
Varun was instrumental in installing and establishing the PET CT facility for Cytecare Hospitals, a new Cancer hospital chain in Bangalore funded by global healthcare leaders and investors.
Prior to that he worked in the Nuclear Medicine departments of leading healthcare brands like Manipal Hospitals, Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital & Research Center, and Vedanta Medical Research Foundation. He is proficient in radiation safety protocols as prescribed by the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB).
Varun has a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Medicine Technology from Manipal University and a Master’s in Disaster Management from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. He cleared the Radiation Safety Officer examination Level II conducted by Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC).
